Stretch Ride and Donkey Orchids : My Actifit Report Card: October 16 2021
A clear blue sky day for the first weekend after lockdown rules eased for the vaccinated. My wife went off early to exchange documents for a property we are buying. I was slow to move but had in mind doing a long stretch bike ride. Been a while. Was out around 11am with 3 hour ride planned down the hill and up the other side

The best part of riding a bike is I can stop anywhere. I stopped here to look at an orchid and took the photo of the bay
This is the next cycle of orchids to flower - rose hyacinth orchid
Up the hill to find more donkey orchids in a known spot

Five plants here but no onion orchid that I had seen last year
A bit more colour in these but pretty sure they are diuris aurea - the shape of the labellum is the key.
Next stop is known location for the next hyacinth orchid to flower - 6 plants which is more than last year. There were some more further down the slope

Next picture is the changing of the guard picture - the end of the copper bearded orchids for this season.
Did the long run up the Pacific Highway and stopped in at the back entry to Muogamarra Reserve - they have done clearing work which has reduced the orchids.
Next in the changing of the guard series - cryptostylis subulata bud. Disappointed to not find other orchids here - 3 types last year. Up the road then
A few more donkey orchids - this one behind the crash barriers
Stopped off at a known spot for sun orchids and found another donkey orchid in a new location. No sun orchid plants at all
Rode right up to coffee shop side. No orchids in the verge opposite - did have a great caffra tree in flower
One more with a nature background
Was a good ride but very, very windy. Longest ride since April at 55 kms
Pottered around in the garden a bit when I got home.
Dinner: Made a bolognese sauce with pasta. Out of spaghetti
Watched Bitcoin price crash through $62,000. Read a few tweets about the chances Litecoin will follow. I applied some of the USDT raised by selling TRX earlier in the week to add to my small holding.
