Onion Orchids and New Promise : My Actifit Report Card: October 21 2021
Hard to say where the morning went. I did do one load of washing. Went out after lunch on the bike to walk two tracks - looking for duck orchids
Just beginning to open - from the bottom like orchids do
Not sure what this flower spike is - leaves are not consistent with an orchid but the spike is.

Back to the onion orchid patch - a new bud forming
New flowers opening from the bottom - microtis parviflora
New plant opening with old in the background
As best focus as I could get on the labellum. The whole flower is the size of a matchhead.
Off to the next track to look for flying ducks my friend had seen
First bonnet orchid bud emerging - maybe two weeks wait
The spike caught my eye - fern - spider hanging on behind
A ribbon tag in the bush told me to pay attention - a bearded orchid entwined in a fern
Red bearded orchid - calochilus paludosus
Bud forming on a cryptostylis subulata - normally ahead of the bonnet orchids. Not this one
Small and yellow
Walked to the end of the track - no flying ducks in last year spot
Did find the orchid for this track - cymbidium suave - 20 meters above my head
Twin flowers on the teardrop flower
Great light contrast for the spider grevillea
Short ride with as much walking as riding
Dinner: Chicken drumsticks in airfryer
Was a late night on a phone call talking through a new investment management business idea.
