A Day for Orchids Budding : My Actifit Report Card: October 27 2021

After a couple big days riding I decided to take an easier day with a short ride and a bigger walk. I have a few orchid spots that might be opening up as summer comes. The day took its toll with a lot of pottering around at home - some garden work. Some investing stuff. Did hit the bike in late afternoon

Afternoon light is a challenge - sometimes it works

I love the way this opens up from below and bright yellow

No idea what this flower is - sure is pretty

Found the first orchid buds on the downhill side - not seen them here

Variegated hyacinth orchid. I did find two plants close by. Kept walking down to check on bonnet orchids

Cryptostylis erecta buds. Back up the hill found some more

Large tongue orchid buds

Dianella flowers looks special - like a painting

Last year I saw these much later and in a different spot - makes for the 4th orchid type in bud

Prasophyllum flavum maybe 4 days off flowering. I hope the wallabies do not find it as easily as I did

Afternoon light was working for the little flowers

Seen a lot of these but not often taken photos - they grab my eye as they are the same colour as sun orchids

The flower on this has burst out really well.

Talking of wallabies. Munching away as the warmth of the day has gone. I do not see them often as I am out walking earlier

Scoring 4 orchids in bud feels like a win on orchid for the day.

Dinner: My wife cooked bolognese.
