My Actifit Report Card: January 8 2022

Another rainy morning. As the day went by we got some blue sky and I pushed to get out on the bike. Picked a place I might find midge orchids

Cycled to Berowra Valley NP - 20 kms one way. This daisy is smaller than a US penny.

Found hyacinth orchids in a known spot. The one I saw last time is seeding but these are new openers - too plants open

Dipodium variegatum. Walked on and was surprised with the next find

Flying duck orchid standing two foot tall. I did not think they flowered so many months

Side on. Story: Someone posted a similar flower. I shared that I had seen them in my local NP. Impossible says guru as they only grow near Port Stephens - so I found another in a different local NP. Gurus give me the shits with their attitude. Bring back the amateur enthusiasts. I will keep my views to myself

Walked back on a different loop track. Found this double header flying duck orchid with two flowers close enough to both be in focus

The weather is cooler than normal - hot for me but not for the goanna. Normally they scoot up a tree. Not this one

Walked down the other fire trail - a bonnet orchid found to make 3 for the day.

Longest ride for the year. It was not hot for the goanna but too hot for me. I had to stop 3 times on the way home. Have a snack. Rest. Drank all my water. Sure hope it is not a bigger problem. This is the second ride in the last year where I have struggled to complete.

Walked the dog when I got back. Tidied up the bushes growing over the sidewalk - ours and around the corner

My wife cooked dinner - two nights in a row off duty.

Did some investing stuff on crypto - bought QNT.
