Spurred Helmet Orchids Forming on Lovers Jump Creek : April 20 2022
Wow. The sun came out despite the forecast offering. Got the weekly crypto post written up and run. Still exploring some new stuff.
Pushed hard to get a walk in on the local Lovers Jump Creek Track. First sight of an orchid is spurred helmet orchid in a known spot - not quite ready
Maybe two more days for this corysanthes aconitiflorus to be fully open
Autumn is fungi time
Mushrooms in shades of brown and cream
Early show for the mayfly orchid glittering in the late afternoon sun
Promise of an acianthus orchid
Banksia
A few new greenhoods open
Green form of sharp greenhood - pterostlyis acuminata
Never far from the orchid action is fungi action - love the staircase effect
Greenhoods stepping out
Low light made a struggle for acianthus pusillis photos over the shoulder. Leeches crawling never help
Front on - looks quite voluptuous
Bumped into a friend on the lane. Long chat sharing stories - I love sharing time with people I have inspired to love orchids
Dinner was a standard chicken, ham and leek potato bake made with a difference. Start simple with a roux with garlic, spring onion and leek. Add in a little chicken stock to create a smooth sauce
Lay in the ham and chicken. Cheat by browning the chicken. Layer with par boiled potatoes sliced. Grease the bowl - make sure it fits in the airfryer. Sprinkle with paprika
Air fry at 180C for 10 minutes. Slice some butter over half way if top looks dry - and then another 10 minutes. Was yum
