New Cobra Greehood find : June 16 2022
Sun came out. Wife went off to work early. Got a few things to get moving for a busy weekend entertaining. Headed to shops rather than go walking for orchids - just had to get that out the way. Did the lawn tidy up - sure hate that given we have no trees
Walked the local track to check on the greenhoods. Nodding greenhood is opening
One fully open is first for the year this side - pterostylis nutans
A few new spots for spurred helmet orchid
Twin corybas aconitiflorus
Sideways photo to get underneath for the labellum.
Walked to the south side of the creek to check on maroonhoods - no buds but plants are going.
Did find a new cobra greenhood this side - new find off the track
Angles were just right to get the tip of the labellum - pterostylis grandifloris
Always great to find a new orchid spot especially on a track I have walked almost every week for 6 years.
We went out for a concert taking in two icons of Aussie rock and roll - Glenn Shorrock and Brian Cadd.
They rocked it over 2 hours playing a slice of their respective stories
This clip got my emotions moving - A Little Ray of Sunshine from The Axioms - check it out - we have two coming in our family
Trade action was a shambles. I was assigned on a QQQ short put before US markets opened. This forced the broker to liquidate a bunch of positions in Europe which completely smashed my strategies and broke all their short sell rules. All they had to do was wait for US markets to open and sell the assigned QQQ - which is what I did.
