Helmets in local NP June 22 2022

A blue sky day and a recalcitrant body. There is a theme here. I banged out the rest of the 2018 pension accounts to send to the bean counter. Not too hard as I had done all the recons. Drove down to the NP for a walk - not trusting the bike just yet. I did check that when I got back - the seat mast is cracked and not safe to ride. New one will be around $125 plus $100 shipping from US.

Plan was to focus on right side (left side last time as is my habit). The helmet orchids were on the left side just where the plants are emerging on the right

Corybas fimbriatus - bristle helmet orchid - quite a few plants around

Edit: Fell asleep before midnight cut off and woke up to post this far - a few more finds to share - budding greenhood probably pterostylis curta

Twin helmets - nice colony here

Different type of helmet - spurred helmet orchid - corybas aconitifloris

First of the nodding greenhoods on this track for 2022 - pterostylis nutans

Found two more cobra greenhoods in last week's spot - pterostylis grandifloris

Pixie caps orchid - one spike out of 30 or 40 plants - acianthus fornicatis

Last of the helmet types - toothed helmet orchid - corybas pruinosus. These were growing below the track on a steep bank just above the water

Took a little Indiana Jones to get down there without stomping on the orchids or falling into the water.

Was a fab day for a walk with no breeze and good sun. A great way to get away from pension accounting. That is going slowly today as I was up at 2am doing trade stuff.

Plugged away all afternoon updating last week's trades to write the investing post

Easy dinner warming up food left from the weekend party - still pretty flash with steamed gyozas to start and chicken nibbles as the main. Another late night in the markets setting up covered calls and credit spreads in the pension portfolio. Maybe made enough to cover the next month pension payment.
