Rain Stopped - Lovers Jump Creek Walk - July 7 2022

It stopped raining. Hooray. It has been a tough week adding to a tough summer. Rainfall to date is 7.5 inches higher than the all time record from 1890. And we still have 5 months to go. Spent most of the day doing pension accounting - 4 years behind the work has to be done.

Tidied up the back lawn after the storms

Went out to walk the south side of Lovers Jump Creek - rain damage is not as bad as I expected and there is blue up there

The new drain work held through the big rain

The one nodding greenhood flower is looking sad. I propped it up

Not propped up one can see the bright red stripe at the bottom of the labellum

Promise of a diamond ant orchid budding - colony is shaping up well after the wallaby smashed the main colony last year

Part of the mission was to look for coastal maroonhoods - only one bud. Late this year.

A few banksia still flowering

Acianthus pusillis gone to seed

Tough walk around the edge of the sports field in deep mud. Kookaburra watching for worms

Plan was to stop at shops for a few things. Got to checkout - no wallet - oops.

Dinner: Ocean Trout sous vide. Works better than salmon as it has a bit more fat

Trade action: Hedged TLT, QQQ. Short PFE.
