It had to happen. My accountant is being a total pain about stuff that is old fashioned thinking. I had a way to fix it. Print out the documents, sign them and drive them to his office. He does not work Fridays. Stopped for an orchid check on the way home
There is a suburban verge where the orchids are preserved somehow
Promise of an onion orchid
Not enough sun for these to flower this season - all self-pollinated
A slice of orange brightness
I knew there was a chance of bearded orchids - red bearded orchid
Spider action on top of the bearded orchids
Found a few - the long tape is the clue for calochilus paludosus even with the chance of glands hidden
Stink bug
2nd bearded orchid for the day in the same verge - calochilus robertsonii
Side on - cording is a bit strong for robertsonii but I am not convinced it is campestris
Found an open onion orchid - guessing microtis unifolia
Pollinator was busy
Moving actively
As close a zoom as camera would allow
Fifteen plants flowering
Hard to see the eyes but guessing calochilus paludosus
One with eyes
And one without
Good orchid stop - 3 orchids flowering and one budding. All on a suburban verge. Put the mowers away
Dinner: Chicken sausages and all the things a Dutch kid would like - pumpkin, mash, carrots.

This little verge brings a lot of joy. The flowers on the onion orchid are smaller than a matchead - the ant gives perspective
I enlarged the photo to see more clearly, with gentle translucent colour it appeared tiny compared to ant enjoying the nectar.
