Cryptostylis Orchids on East Side plus more : December 8 2022

Shaping up to be a busy day. Hoped to go for a ride but needed to get shopping done.

Had a few thing to do first - a load of laundry to go into the sun; finish the back lawn tidy up; do accounting for overnight trades. Did more analysis on my IM problem - inconsistent data on what is and what is not on a blacklist - focusing in one address for next campaign and hope for the best. In next 4 weeks, I will sort out a new sending address

Changed the thinking to combine shopping and walking. Pick the shopping centre close to the orchid spot I want to check out - Ku-ring Gai Chase NP - Asquith side

These are just emerging

Spider grevilleas are enjoyed by my followers on Facebook side - take a picture for them

Walked the right angles track to see if horned orchids and midge orchids are showing - none. Lots of fringe lilies

First of the mini orange pea flowers - hard to get the main bit in focus

Seeing quite a few with white fluffy stuff on the spike - thinking fungus or spiders. It wipes off easily enough

Bonnet orchid budding

This shape caught my eye. It is a bonnet orchid that has been attacked by something that is forcing the curl - either a weevil or a fungal attack.

That shape stopped me. Then a look around yields an open bonnet orchid - cryptostylis erecta - this is the orchid spotting way

Last walk on Terrey Hills side, I saw a flower like this. My friend says it is a geebung. This one is different as the leaf was narrow and not broad - sadly my leaf photo did not work to show the leaf

Just above were these tiny berry fruits - photo is perfect for the match head size (maybe smaller)

Did the shopping. Watered the front lawn. Fertilised the back lawn. Prepared dinner - a slow cooked sticky beef dish - garlic, ginger, soy, honey, onions, capsicum.

Reduce in a fry pan after the long cook to reduce and get sticky - serve with rice - yum
