Hyacinth Orchids on Berry Loop Ride : December 29 2022

Wake to a cloudy day but not forecast to rain until way later in the day. My wife and our guest went off to aquarobics class. I eventually got on the bike armed with a rain jacket in case to ride the loop along Seven Mile Beach in opposite direction to last time. I did pack the orchid camera this time - at worst I could retake photos of orchids seen last time

Found orchids a little further from Beach Road junction than last time - common hyacinth orchid

Closer in of dipodium variegetum. Hard to get crisp pictures under a cloudy sky

Popped around the corner where the blotched hyacinth orchid was last time - nice plant well off the road and this one budding

There were blotched hyacinth orchids close to the fence line - same general location but not the same plant as last time

Crossed the road to look that side. Found one on the verge under a tree

Only the size of a match head - lack of focus can be excused especially with camera wanting to focus on the target behind

This one worked a little better - lots of those bugs around

Found more dipodium variegatum on the other side of the road. Finding those orchids in new spots gave me leeway to not ride Agars Lane - rode into Berry instead - it was busy and horrid. Ride home for coffee rather than deal with the people. Nice ride - a few spots of rain

A different mood for Coolangatta Mountain today

Good to stay dry on a nice easy ride.

Spent the afternoon making a video for an Internet Marketing product launch - been a while. Also strimmed the front lawn before the rain began
