At home day - installed irrigation system : June 12 2023
Another night of weird dreams. Weird skies too - blue sky - high cloud - blue sky. First King's Birthday holiday since I got here in 2000 - first in over 70 years for all the other Australians.
Turned into an at home day. Paper daisies grown from seed harvested from others we grew - cannot remember having yellow only
Gazanias are still going strong
Even managed to get a half decent photo of twining glycine climbing up the cosmos
Not ten days to the shortest day and the cosmos is still flowering
This succulent is going gang busters

At home day did turn into a bit of a gardening day. Continued work on the irrigation system into one of the standing vege beads.
Measured out and cut all the piping that goes under the deck and across to the raised vege garden
Did use a tape measure but did have to make some adjustments - easy enough to go shorter
The test did work - a few leaks but they are not serious - system will run 10 minutes a day and then switch off - not too much lost water in that time
Orchids are still going well
King parrots are back - 3 in frame - guessing food is drying up in the bush
Now watering system is in place, I planted out some of the veges growing in the hydroponic system. Time to replant that for the winter series
We went to have drinks with the neighbours below - lovely chat about all sorts of stuff. A good way to wrap up a holiday day.
Did cook myself a BBQ dinner when we got back. Enjoyed the last segment of MasterChef

There is a theme emerging about stuff out of my control. It is weird as for now things seem to be making the expected flow. There may be a tsunami lurking out there. This day was a flood scene dream.
