Early spring brings pea flowers and more : July 26 2023

A struggle to get moving. My hand still hurts - takes the stuffing out. My wife headed out to baby sit. Made a slow morning finishing off last week's accounting. Post will go out tomorrow.

Headed out when she got back. Walk first in Ku-ring Gai Chase NP and then shop. Chose to walk the high side hoping to find a greenhood I saw this way last year and maybe some early sun orchids - first photo sets the tone - pea flowers

These are different - green centre vs orange

Hovea twining it's way up a banksia serratum. The three photos shows stark differences in the species - one is ground based, one is a bush and the other is a creeper

Spider grevilleas suggest spring is on the way - pink

Solo banksia. Good to see them. Lots of plants in Seven Mile Beach NP but none are flowering - timing

Not a lot of mushrooms but did find one

Over the last few walks I have noticed these concrete blocks with an offset slot in the corner. Now I know what they are for - boot wiping to slow the spread of non-local lurgies on walkers' boots.

Shopping was quiet - small centre with no school mums. Not a single can of tinned tomatoes - are we heading to the next round of hoarding?

Dinner: Thai yellow chicken curry

Trade action: Lots of coverd calls. Bought PHIA.AS, VK.PA, E. Credit spreads on AMAT, AXON. Sold INES.AX.
