Ride over Warby Ranges to Wangaratta : March 18 2024

Have a relatively short ride tidy with one mountain range to go over. Decided to head out around midday. Would rather spend time with my friend than hang around in the next town waiting for my check in time. My friend cooked breakfast - fresh eggs from their chickens

Walked up the hill behind the house - view over Lake Mokoan

Looking further up the lake into the Winton Wetlands - a bird haven

Boggy Bridge Rd is as far as I have ridden before - goes to top end of the lake shown in photo earlier

Two wineries up this way

Turm left onto Taminick Gap Rd past Baileys

The Gap is to the left of the microwave towers - about 2 kms to the crest

Lovely old house with wraparound porch

Reach the Baileys vineyards - heat building and body not happy - rest needed often

Grand old gum trees make the framing - chose to save the body and push from here

District boundary just before the crest. Pushed the bike to the parking area we used the day before and then hit the downhill

My friend had told me to take Warby Range Rd running along the bottom of the range. Good choice as traffic was minimal. Easy flat ride into Wangaratta from here

Nice cam ground just across the creek from the city. I have a cabin booked. Team are cooking chicken curry in camp. Popped into town to add my share if goodies.

Turned into a good evening

Sadly no photos of the town or the fun.

Stayed up late to get sone trades done. Sold PUR.V. Bought SYH.V. A rotation in junior uranium stocks. Credits spreads in Europe CBK.DE, DBK.DE, AI.PA as examples of keeping invested after options expiry
