More tyre troubles - this time in Seven Mile Beach NP : March 25 2024

Had in my mind to go for a drive to look for orchids while my wife was out for lunch with a few friends. Did not work out that way - her friend picked her up. That required a car shuffle - too lazy to do that. Spent the morning catching up on two weeks of investing accounts. Went our late on the bike instead.

Heard a crack on the way out - back wheel locked up solid. Took a while to ease off the brakes. Kept on riding - aiming for middle of Seven Mile Beach NP. Not to be - got a flat - first spare tube was toast. 2nd was OK. Turned back to at least get a walk in

Walked the close in loop not often walked - greenhood rosette forming a new leaf

Budding acianthus orchid - hard to get focus on the bud right

Even harder - two chiloglottis orchids flowering - new spot nit far from orchids seen last time

Got back to the bike. Checked why the brakes were locking up. The rim has split and bulged. Started the walk home. Not keen to ride - would have just blown another tube. Glad I had chosen the short loop walk. Called my wife - she came to pick me up.

Had BBQ dinner with friends. We did potato and salads and sausages. They did Porterhouse steaks. I cooked
