A few more of the 100 Shoalhaven Beaches : May 6 2025

A different day lining up - with a good forecast we are going to visit a few of the 100 Shoalhaven beaches that we have not been to. We have a friend who has a house at Manyana Beach - two turn-offs south of where my son lives

First stop Bendelong Beach - the most southerly beach on a big bay going up to Cudmirrah in the north - pelicans crusing where the fishermen are gutting their catch

Fab sandy beach - no waves and today no wind

Not only pelicans waiting - the shadows in the water are rays. A few spectators standing ankle deep and touching the rays

Sorry - no photos of the wings coming out the water - was only 9 inches deep

Walked up to the headland - Australian native violets but no orchids

Drove up to the next village - Manyana and then to Inyadda Beach

Nice bike path along the coast going down to our next spot - cuts out a big drive around to Manyana. We had lunch in Cunjurong - small seaside spot with a deli operating. Nice lunch.

Drove up the point - I walked to the lookout - fab view of the island. Imagine living there

Last segment was drove down to Berringer Lake - there are a series of lakes from this part of South Coast heading south. Quite different- there were oyster beds around from where we were

Looking away from the sun - plenty of fish action. No commercial fishing allowed

Drove back with a short shop stop in South Nowra. Also stopped at Two Figs Winery to pick up wine

Fab views of the Shoalhaven River on a picture perfect still day - out house is out there toward where the river meets the sea

Always a fab spot - we chose not to taste wine

Dinner with friends - all I had to do was cook rice and walk the dog. The dog likes walks with me

This tour was great, the beaches are very beautiful, it makes you want to stay there admiring the scenery.
