Family Day for Mother's Day : May 11 2025

A rainy day at home. Plan for the day was to drive out Liverpool to visit my wife's brother. Not seen him for a two years on account of family disagreements

Paul was very happy to see us. He goes to respite care for a few days which gives us a chance to see him

We dropped by the Dutch shop on the way home. My wife is of Dutch heritage - we had a snack

Got home. My wife's son arrived. His partner had screwed up the plans. She recovered and dropped Ollie off - and had a cup of tea. Was nice to see all their family together for a half hour on Mother's Day

Ollie likes his visits here - he heads to his toy drawer every now and then

Headed out for an afternoon walk to get the steps up - interesting angle on a house I have walked past a lot - some old style

A bit of fun - brush turnkeys - one this side and one the other side where a man was walking his dog. Small dog almost ripped his arm off the get to the bird. No video to protect the innocent

Steps done - did cook dinner - a new recipe - baked chicken thighs. Sauce - olive oil, lime juice, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, mustard, touch of sugar. Bake 20 minutes at 200C - sorry - no photos
