Seven Mile Beach NP cycle and orchids : June 5 2025

A clear blue sky day with just a little wind. Perfect day to get on the bike to walk the middle section of Seven Mile Beach NP. Did walk a side track looking for new season orchids

Flower is the size of 2 or 3 match heads - acianthus fornicatus

Lots of pixie caps orchids in frame - zoom in and look for the gossamer helmets.

Cycled up to South Beach access

Road access has been blocked - someone has fly tipped a burned down house demolition right in the track. Will not be hard to find who did it if National Parks and the police cared enough

There are a few orchid spots on the track that heads north from the beach car park - never seen orchids flowering here but I have seen the signs. Today was the day - fringed helmet orchid - corysanthes fimbriatus

Went down to bowling club to use a free raffle ticket - won a meat tray which became my bbq dinner

A big day of steps - heading back to Sydney tomorrow to pick up my wife
