Walked the dog early to get that done - 1spied these orchids on the way out. Talked to the property owner to get photo on the way back. As it happens he was doing handyman stuff next door
Early dog walk gave me chance to get out on the bike a little earlier than the few days before. Mushroom season is ending

Stepped down to photograph a mosquito orchid - met this spiky thing
The reason I stopped - the spiky tree had a flash of colour and few mean spikes in front of the orchid
Not a.lot of mushroom action left - this in two tones is drying out
Twins photo shows a bit more of the structure - maybe two inches tall
Corysanthes fimbriatus on the south side of Beach Road - not much orchid action thus far. National Parks were doing training stuff - doing live rescue
