A few more Shoalhaven 100 beaches knocked off : June 14 2025
Tough night- dog kept waking me up. Out at 4am in my pyjamas walking it. Does not make for a good start. Cooked breakfast - not had eggs and bacon for ages
Got in the car with the dog to go and visit a few beaches we have not been too. First stop Penguin Head lookout - the point at the end of Culburra Beach. Dog enjoyed exploring each stop. First photo looking north to Coolangatta Mountain - it in the lump just left of centre

Out to sea toward Point Perpendicular and the gateway to Jervis Bay

Drove to Currarong hoping to find cafe open - now run by a friend's son. No luck there. Photo of the beach from where the creek comes in

View up the creek is always a spot for reflections
No cafe open so we headed to Callala Bay to get lunch and then to Callala Beach to find a park. Callala Bay and Beach are not the same place but both are on Jervis Bay. Enjoyed our lunch and an amble down to the beach

And across to Green Patch in Booderee NP where I walked last week. The bird is a black oystercatcher - endangered

Amazing views along the coastline, Oyster catchers here are not always this far up, although we have seen them a couple of times on our beaches, slightly different in look.
