Been a big 10 days. Taking time to catch up on a big week also of investing stuff. The next #tib post will be huge. Went out for a late walk - a big loop to check on an orchid seen budding in Richmond Park - and do the shopping after

I knew exactly what I was looking for and where. It looked a bit like this two weeks ago. Could not find it - walked up - walked down two more times. Was not giving up. Checked the photos

Yep this one from July 8 - that told me where to look. Came in from below and found it - was hiding under a fern frond

Now there is a reason I walked back and forth past this flower a few times. When I got to take the 2nd photo there was a fly on top

Enough time to get a side on photo. No doubt the fly is attracted by the pheromones the orchid delivers. Fly is a bit large to get inside the helmet to pollinate

Dinner: Massaman beef curry - Thai style

No chance to watch Lions vs Wallabies rugby test. Maybe just as well - we saw the closing minute as Lions scored to win. Previous 79 minutes might have been tough for a Lions supporter.
