Fire trail walk from Asquith to Hornsby for spring flowers : August 4 2025

A whack of rain through the morning - had a whole week of this - forecast was for the rain to break. Took the umbrella to get a train to walk station to station

Looking good as I left the apartment block - big blue sky and big clouds

Caught the train to Asquith and walked down to access a fire trail - art house on the way

Cannot resist strelitzia photos - my army regiment symbol

Red crucifix orchids along the way - maybe the orchid of the day - not wild

Fire trail access at the end of the street looping around below the industrial estate and high above Cockle Creek

Lichen is liking the persistent rain

Grey spider grevillea

Sydney boronia

Blue sky and moon rising

Mimosa flower with raindrops - a memory for my father whose 100th birthday it would have been today

View up to the spring flowers - yellow and pink

Muddy track- clearly been a few vehicles up and down

Path moved into turpentine rain forest - still no orchids

Found this huge tree with green bark - climbing into the blue

A quite different mimosa flower - the flower opens upside down below the helmet - openers lined up behind

Fire trail loops around below the buildings built up high. Sample of one of the new builds - for sale. Chose to walk to next station down rather than back to where I came from

One of the old cottages squeezed between the hospital and Hornsby town centre. Still some development potential here not far from the station

Big walk - did not need umbrella - too bad there were no orchids - not even a leaf

Dinner: Quick BBQ.

Did spend some time on new PLR product launch - creating bonuses - somehow lost one key one in the process
