An at home day walking local streets : October 13 2025

Was turning into one of those days. Busy morning writing up last week's investing stuff and triggering a bunch of profit taking sales on ASX. Market ignored the big sell off from US on Friday and bumped ahead. This does not happen often

Did walk up to the shops to get a few things - steps came from there

Maybe sneak of a few photos of flowers at home and skip walking any more. Did tweak my back during the night = not in the mood for walking. Pelargonium to start that idea

The promise of a Brazilian walking lily - tomorrow story

Jasmine has just started flowering. It is a special time - the plant was on our table at the wedding of my wife's nephew. The plant has survived two transplantings and quite likes its pot.

The houses over the road give an idea of what might happen - though it is surprising to see they all left the front yards. Where is the pool? What I expect to see is a wall to wall house with a pool against front or back fence

There is a house at the bottom of the hill that always has orchids - these are tiny and bit far away for the zoom photo. But there were orchids

An interesting bud forming - not sure it is an orchid but that is my guess given the other things going on

This garden is always interesting - the arum lilies are hiding the statue that sits in the frame

A slice of orange - begonias. Never seen pure orange ones like these

Made for a good walk to clear the head. Got home to discover my ISP has decided today is the day to cut in the replacement service. No notice and no instructions on how to start. My whole business - investing and other depends on non stop ISP access. Not a good way to start out as a new customer.
