Crows Nest ambling for dinner out - old buildings : October 16 2025

Was turning into one of those days - got busy doing investing stuff and IM stuff in the morning. Was due to meet friends for dinner close to the city. That gave me the parameters for a walking day. Walk to shops to knock off some shopping.

Then take the train toward where our dinner is and walk from there to get the rest of steps. Took the train and metro - got a bit confused coming out the back of the station. This modern retro structure makes the link to the old Crows Nest High Street

Not walked this street. The old Holminster Church been renovated with some render and paint

Modern church across the street is nit a pattch - needs render and the same paint job

What I liked was the old terrace houses - we lived in a street like that in England. These would cost a bomb as it is close to the city - 10 minute walk and 10 minute metro. Nowhere to park the car

Well - this man had parking on the street

Next of the old houses - a bit of render and grey paint but did keep the year of build showing

Did not cross the street to see what this building was - has the same tower pretensions of the one before. Could easily be that old but colour says a different story - more Spain than Australia or England

Got the steps done. Bought wine for BYO. Had a good Thai dinner with friends. No cooking = night off for the chef. Chef did have to drive home.

Late night fixing a product launch snafu. Not too bad - had sent out emails ahead of launch. A small cover up email needed for launch
