Have a blue sky day. Got moving to get a train - bike - walk thing going. My friend had told me the yellow leek orchid I told her about was now flowering

Memories told me about a tall Australian grass tree. This one probably taller

Part one of the mission - yellow leek orchid showing one flower open.

Not a flash of colour on the plant behind - one open - prasophyllum flavum

Tramped around below to see if there were plants below. Found this one budding - bonnet orchid

Fabulous contrasts of the scribbly gums

Tramped the other side of the track to see if there were leek orchids. They were here last year. Did find onion orchids

Lobelia dentata - they come out after fire. The photo shows the blacking of the hazard reduction burn a few months back

Hard to tell if this flower is early or late.

Against the light - cymbidium suave

Went looking for flying duck orchids onna known spot and found these right on track edge. Have walked past this spot evey year for 10 years - little duck orchid - caleana minor. First time find

Last days for caleana major - makes for 4 orchids flowering on this walk

First days flowering for the broad leafed geebung

This bug posed even when I put the backing leaf up

Chose to ride back. Did do the Pymble bends on the way down. No traffic behind

Ride done. A new orchid found. A big day

Did walk up to shops for a few things. Blisters are recovering
