Was a late night - options expiry does that. Body a bit slow moving for the packing to go back to Sydney

Coolangatta Mountain under cloudy skies after a big storm overnight - chicken scraps time

Did spend 15 minutes trying to get these baby moorhens out of the chicken enclosure. They cannot fly. Looked for gaps under the wire - none. Tried the shepherd to the gate trick. As soon as they got there the chickens attacked. Enclosure is big enough for separation nature's way. Let them be. Need a towel to cover them and lift out. Chicken man will do that

A few nice roses in one garden on the way back

A very intense red - camera got swamped with red to lose good focus

A touch of gold.

Been good to get away from Sydney. Been good to have two mornings with no door banging from above. And super special to be able to ride on a quiet safe road to walk the bush 5 minutes away

My wife has no clue about how important that is for me. Always lived on the edge of the city or in the country - space and open roads is my place

Good news is we will be back Boxing Day. Might even get to see my granddaughters
