Raindrop flower walk in East Gordon : January 18 2026

Another rainy day as the East Coast Low hangs over Sydney. Not had the big rain they forecast but it has rained on and off all night and day. So much for the El Nino summer they talked about in September. Plenty investing accounts stuff to do after a huge options expiry - turned over $0.5 million.

Got to walk somewhere on an umbrella walk toward Richmond Park. Naked lady lily on the way with raindrops

Chinese lantern with raindrops on the way toward the station. Crossed the railway line - perhaps catch a train - a bit of a walk. Keep going on the original plan

Walked a small cross street on the low side - a few old style houses still here. Single storey - no garage - Federation colours. Dropped the phone - flare may signal camera damage

Next one along - much the same - roof tiles a different colour - could be the originals

Next one along - higher roof line makes for a more impressive fascia decoration

The one on the corner is a bit different with a wraparound porch

Changed the plan to walk to an oval on the top of the hill which has a ring of bush around the edges dropping down to Gordon Creek. Storm water flowing into this side creek going strong

Rain got heavy - cut short to get back toward Richmond Park. Fence up around this old house - it is empty - what will come next?

Clues in the street - maybe an up and over keeping the old style

Or a knockdown and a blocky mansion. Leaning to the latter. Seems to be the model - buy a house for $2.5 million - knock it down - build a new one for $800k - looks like all the new ones in the street

Did get the shopping done - good thing the centre had ine of those brolly bag things - was soaking wet
