North Sydney to Kirribilli walk and ferry day : February 17 2026

Started out one of those IT days. Noticed a heap of sign ups to one of my opt-in pages. Went digging on the source and then onto how many went on to buy anything. Found out that a key interface was not working and people who abandoned were not being followed up. Suffice to say that had the brain scrambling. Had to get out - took the first train

Train headed south. Switched to a Metro also going south. Got out at Victoria Cross in North Sydney. The stations are deep and they have some effort into modern design. A good example of curves here

Not walked North Sydney since doing forex courses - a lot of building change since then

A few quiet lanes to cross - just up from where I trained

Technology One building - home to Tata Consulting - a friend worked there

Plan was to walk down to the water and maybe loop back to Millsons Point station. Far view of the harbour from up above

Walk across the freeway and the Sydney Harbour Tunnel offices

Path down to the water was blocked. Had to find a side way past some interesting old houses

Old sandstone somewhat tidied up parking must be a nightmare. Narrow road. Not enough place to do a u-turn

An unexpected art work. Too bad it was dropped on one of the moves. Snapped in two

Path does not follow the water - got to walk up the hill again - some modern interpretations of the old styles. A chalet?

Pleased I came this way - could walk down the steps I walked up last time. View across the bay to Australian Border Force base

Was a big public transport day for $2.50. Train - Metro - Walk - Ferry - Light Rail - Train - Metro - Train. Do love the access and reach

Shopped after. Cooked chicken curry for dinner - yum
