Walked down to the local track to look for autumn orchids - fire wheel flower on the way

Another house for sale down our side of the street - this one has been all modernised

Walked down from the golf course into the creek - do steep bit down first. Flannel flower on the way

Maybe the mushroom photo of the season - wait and see

A flash of blue - thinking milkwort - nope - got 3 petals - lobelia

Chiloglottis orchid mission. Leaves are forming - these have at least 6 weeks to go

Once you know you know - lobelia in a different shade and more pointy

Pea flower - thinking hardenbergia

Was not expecting to see dyanella flowering. They seed into Christmas balls around then

Ginger lily

Wattle flowers also out of season

Mushrooms are emerging

Woolsia pungens also emerging

Chiloglottis orchid leaves emerging

Found a few flowers open. Chiloglottis seminuda - common ant orchid

Side on of the next one along - last time saw only one open

Front on shows the reason for its English name. The calli go only half way down the labellum - semi-nude

Always a treat to find a few flowers open on the local track
