Sharp Greenhood season begins on Blackbutt Creek : March 29 202

Turned into one of those busy days doing not a lot. A lot of time working out how to do an investing update a week ago. Some of the platforms make it easy to take a snapshot on a particular date - others do not. I really wanted a snapshot to match the options expiry day - March 20

Decided to do a half and a half on the updates. It might just help some of my readers to ride through a 10% correction next time. Lesson one: hold enough cash to go one year ahead. Lesson two: Do not sell into the panic. Lesson three: Buy up stocks if you have capital spare on your big themes. Buy little as there may be chances to average down later

Walked the local Blackbutt Creek track - hoping to find two orchids. A cluster of greenhoods bigger than I have seen. The regular strimming was high enough to go over the top of these

The astute watchers will notice the differences to the last greeenhood - pointed hood - touch of colour on the hood and petals

A bit of mushroom time. Bumped into 2 uni-students. They were following a theme on the GPS iNaturalist app. Chatted for a bit - show them orchid leaves - not interested

Saw the leaf form. Moved the debris to get a shot. Almost certainly a family member heading for light

Was hoping to find a few chiloglottis seminuda or sylvestris - got one seeded
