Grey day camellia day in Gordon : May 12 2026

Wake to a grey day. Was up early to drive my wife to the station. She cannot drive with a moonboot on. Would-be a good way to jam in a more full day. Nope. Grey. Cold. Go back to get warm. With the prospect of a call to pick up from station, chose to stay home. Had been thinking pickle ball but timing was not great

As it happened I was right - got the call when pickle ball would have been one. As it happens she got a taxi home. Walked to shops for a few things. Dropped the shopping off and did a steps walk

My ladies tresses orchids started flowering at home # photos were out of focus but it does give me a signal to check the orchid man house down the road. Buds forming on these

Oncidium is flowering - a burgundy version. Was not game to climb the fence for a close up. Never know what cameras are running. He has a lot of orchids

Droopy rose on the way home - it knows the season

Next one is less convinced - nice peachy colour

Got the steps done despite the grey. No umbrella needed.
