Saw her twice in 2025 - even though our retirement house is only 30 kms from there. Takes her time to warm up. She did - my wife noticed that she calls me DaddyMan - very sweet. My son is off this week - will see if I can get down there. It is a bit far to cycle there and back in a day - have to get the car from my wife.

Quality time together if you are able, nice when children respect elders with names they feel comfortable with.

Would be grand if the elders respected the elders - funded her house, helped them move, cooked dinner on their first night at home, cooked the first Christmas dinner in the new house, helped them out when she burned the baby, funded the Christening - never a thank you

Graham was right - she will make up her own mind - she did and her mother hates it

Ah I hear you, my late brothers wife I helped for four straight years, cleaning, feeding, ensuring her safety and comfort. Her divorced daughter arrived since then not a word, cannot even send a note to say they would not attend the husbands outdoor memorial service. Such is life, dust off and move on, sadly a child involved!
