Greetings friends from Hive and @fulldeportes, today I am going to share with you, based on my experience as a runner and walker, some strategies on how to maintain the same rhythm in a running or walking competition.

When we talk about rhythm, it refers to the speed that we can take during a race or walk to maintain it for a long time to achieve a good mark, which will depend on the athlete, whether he is a beginner or has already been training for several months. The pace is classified in different ways according to the authors consulted, light pace is a speed below the maximum capacity of the runner, an example if the athlete runs 50 minutes the distance of 10 kilometers, the light pace could be of a 1 Hours x 10Km, that is, each kilometer does it in 6 minutes

The fast pace is the maximum speed that the walker or runner can perform in short distances less than 1Km, that is, 200, 400, 800, through repetitions or Fartlek. On the other hand, the smooth rhythm that is a training that is done in the background, which allows a conversation during the tour.

Once we have mentioned the types of rhythm, they must be established in a training plan of at least three months so that the athlete can maintain the same race rhythm and reach the final goal. The speed per mileage in the race can often be affected at the time of the start, where the nerves appear when hearing the starting shot, with all the athletes who are in the start, we get desperate, we leave very fast and this cannot cause the rhythm at the beginning to be too fast and at the end too slow.

It should be noted that when we are beginners in a race or walk at the start of the competition, it is best to sit in the back, where other runners are who are going to complete the route in greater time, that is, if we plan to carry out a mark 50 or more minutes in 10 km, but if we have planned a time of 34 minutes in 10 km, then we must place ourselves in the front part where the fastest runners are

As the training is done, one as a runner and walker learns about the different training plans, I remember that in my beginnings we trained six days a week, and I was a little sore because the body is not adapted to this amount of mileage tours weekly. So it is recommended when we are beginners to train three times a week and rest to recover from this training

Now, when we are already 3 months old, the mileage is increased in the training plan, incorporating speed work in order to increase resistance and speed in competitions. In the speed part, it is recommended to perform repetitions of 200 meters or 400 meters in the same time, measuring it with a stopwatch, at least 4 x 200 at the same rhythm and thus we can increase in another week to 4 x 400 meters, 5 x 800.

Likewise, it is advisable to do the training progressively, with different routes, flat parts, mountains and speed twice a week in order to improve resistance and speed in races or walks. After we have time with this training plan, we can do a check in 5 km on a running track to see what mark we make in this distance and we can go from there

To finish the race rhythm will depend on the training plan that the athlete has and the strategies that are carried out in the competition, I hope you have liked my recommendations, see you in the next publication.

Uff 3 meses! Gran dato! Muchas gracias por compartir!! :D
