En uno partido clásico de la Premier League por la intensidad de ambos equipos, donde el ida y vuelta constante se transformó en la dinámica del juego, el Arsenal pudo sacar una victoria agónica contra el Newcastle, que le permite descontar 3 puntos al Liverpool, y así mantenerse en la lucha por el título.

Este fue el primer partido que vi de inicio a final del Arsenal en la temporada, y tengo que decir que me gusta mucho como jugaban, fueron muy superiores en la construcción de las jugadas, pudiendo salir desde su área a primeros toques, rompiendo la presión de los delanteros del Newcastle. También vi que son un equipo bien preparado tácticamente, pues no sólo pueden tener la posesión de la pelota por largos períodos, una etiqueta que les tenía, sino que ahora con Eze y Saka practican un juego más directo, siendo capaces de ir de un área al otra con un par de pases.
This was the first Arsenal game I watched from start to finish this season, and I have to say I really liked the way they played. They were far superior in building plays, able to break out of their own box with first touches, breaking the pressure of Newcastle's forwards. En una jugada de corner, jugaron la pelota con Tonalli, quien puso un centro como con un guante a Woltemade, que en las alturas venció muy fácilmente a un de los mejores defensores de la Premier Legue, Gabriel Magalhaes, desatando la locura en el St James' Park.

Hay que también darle bastante mérito al portero de las Urratas Nick Pope, quien esta a un grandisimo nivel, realizando dos atajadas rasas muy complicadas, y aunque le trajeron competencia en el verano con la figura de Ramsdale, subió su nivel y ahora es intocable en el 11.

Pero este Arsenal no sólo es implicación táctica, el talento también es una virtud, Odegaard no solo colocó la asistencia del gol de la victoria, sino que además tuvo un par de ocasiones creadas muy buenas, siendo la mejor un pase filtrado a Lewis-Skelly por la izquierda, pero Malick Thiaw bloqueó el pase al medio con toda su humanidad, en la jugada defensiva del partido (el juego aún estaba 1 a 1).

Con lo que vi en el partido me pareció ver a un Arsenal más completo, con más variantes en su juego, aunque igualmente efectivo en defensa, y aunque hoy no destacó demasiado, la figura de Gyokeres pienso que será muy importante en la temporada, pues aporta demasiado poderío en ataque, por lo que pienso que este año Arteta volverá a levantar un título, aunque creo que no el que él desea.
