Despite striving for a comeback, and despite having a man advantage for the final stages, the score remained unchanged, and Scotland missed their best opportunity of the qualifying campaign to take sole possession of first place.

El empate 0 a 0 en Dinamarca de la primera vuelta, es un buen reflejo de lo que podría llegar a ser este partido.
