En los cuartos de final de la Conference League tuvimos la mala suerte de ver eliminado a uno de los equipos más interesantes de la competición, ya que más allá de lo mostrado en el terreno de juego, que incluso llegaron a vencer al Chelsea en Stanford Bridge lo que más ha llamado la atención de este club es su hinchada, probablemente la más extrema del viejo continente.

El Legia Varsovia, un equipo de Polonia, ha sido una de las gratas sorpresas en esta temporada, pues aunque no ha tenido su mejor año en la liga local, estando quinto a 12 puntos del puntero, y ya prácticamente sin opciones de levantar el trofeo o ir a competiciones europeas el próximo año, en esta edición de la Conference League se metió entre los 8 mejores de la tabla acumulativa, con 4 victorias y 2 empates, logrando resultados históricos como la victoria ante el Betis en España, lo que ha despertó el interés de los fanáticos en este equipo.

Y es que la misma la tienen ganada a punta de constancia en sus locuras, no por nada en los 2 últimos años tienen acumuladas 17 sanciones por parte de la UEFA, con un coste para el club de más de 450.000 euros. La más resaltante de todas fue "la batalla de Birmingham", donde en la Conference League del año pasado, visitando al Aston Villa por la fase de grupos, se vivió una batalla campal en toda regla, terminando con un saldo de 46 detenciones, 4 agentes heridos, al igual que un par de perros de la policía local y también un par de caballos, algo completamente surrealista.

Probablemente, esta racha tan vergonzosa no podrá seguir alargándose el próximo año, ya que como mencioné anteriormente, no se encuentran en una buena posición en su liga local, y luego de su eliminación, la posibilidad de clasificar a Europa nuevamente es muy baja, pero esto no hará olvidar a una de las aficiones más apasionadas de este deporte, que donde quiera que fueran, hicieron temblar a todos sus rivales, y aunque no estoy de acuerdo con este compartimiento, esta es una clara señal de que el fútbol trasciende hasta la racionalidad, por lo que siempre debemos medir nuestras reacciones y canalizar de forma adecuada nuestra pasión.
