El Nuevo Mundial de Clubes de la FIFA está a pocos días de comenzar, y más allá de múltiples errores que veo en su planificación y criterios de clasificación, pues varios de los campeones actuales de las mejores ligas del continente europeo no participarán, lo cierto es que genera muchas expectativas por ver quien será el primer monarca de la competición.

Hay múltiples equipos que llegarán a la cita en EEUU, clasificados de todas las confederaciones de la FIFA, pero más allá de poder ver a equipos como Botafogo, actual campeón de la Libertadores, a River Plate y Boca Juniors, los más grandes de Argentina y de los más históricos del continente americano, o el equipo egipto Al Ahly, el más grande del continente africano, lo cierto es que los europeos son los grandes favoritos a ganar este título, y salvo sorpresa, serán los que definan las fases decisivas. Por lo que quiero comentar mis equipos favoritos para ganar esta edición 2025.

Therefore, I want to discuss my favorite teams to win this 2025 edition.

1. El París Saint-Germain de Luis Enrique / Luis Enrique's Paris Saint-Germain:

Este equipo es el favorito sin ninguna duda, pues no sólo viene de ganar la Champions practicando probablemente el mejor fútbol del mundo, sino que además consiguió el triplete, el primero de cualquier equipo en Francia. Después de las dudas del primer año del español al frente del equipo, y con la salida de su estrella hacia el Real Madrid, lograron consolidar un equipo que podrá luchar por el cetro europeo en los próximos años.

This team is the undisputed favorite, as they not only won the Champions League while playing arguably the best football in the world, but also achieved the treble, the first for any team in France. After the doubts of the Spaniard's first year in charge, and with the departure of their star player to Real Madrid, they managed to consolidate a team that can compete for the European title in the coming years.

Además de la solidez defensiva conseguida con Pacho y Marquinhos en la saga central, los laterales son dos flechas incansables, el mediocampo con Vitinha y Joao Neves maneja muy bien los tiempos de juego, y en la delantera, Doue y Dembele son completamente indescifrables, sumados al georgiano Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, son un seguro de goles en cada partido.

Esta edición de la Champions no vió la mejor versión del equipo bávaro, pero pienso que el equipo del entrenador belga juega bien, y con estos meses de adaptación, creo que su idea de juego ya está bien internalizada por los jugadores, además de que volver a ganar la Bundesliga debe devolver la confianza a los jugadores.

Michael Olise fue la gran sorpresa de este equipo, pues sumado a su desequilibrio, tiene mucho gol, así como capacidad para habilitar a sus compañeros, y si sumamos a Harry Kane y Musiala en esa delantera, son posiblemente una de las mejores delanteras del torneo. Su línea más débil es sin duda la defensa, y aunque en Alemania le alcanzó para ser la mejor, en Europa tuvo muchos problemas, recibiendo una goleada contra el Barcelona, así como otros 4 tantos contra el Inter en los cuartos de final.

3. El Atlético de Madrid del Cholo Simeone Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich:

La gran apuesta personal para la sorpresa de este torneo es el equipo de Diego Pablo Simeone, pues más allá de verse muy irregular en la campaña, bajando el nivel en el momento crucial de la temporada, pienso que un torneo corto le vendría muy bien, y dejo al Real Madrid por fuera de mis preferidos, ya que inician una nueva etapa con Xabi Alonso, que viene con ideas nuevas.

My personal big bet for the surprise of this tournament is Diego Pablo Simeone's team, because beyond looking very irregular in the campaign, dropping the level at the crucial moment of the season, I think that a short tournament would be very good for them, and I leave Real Madrid out of my favorites, since they begin a new era with Xabi Alonso, who comes with new ideas.

Los colchoneros siempre se han destacado por su juego defensivo, haciéndole muy difícil a sus rivales para poder generar ocasiones, y aunque este año no han estado tan sólidos atrás, siguen siendo muy confiables, por lo que estas competiciones cortas a un solo partido, esta puede ser la clave para avanzar en una llave complicada. A diferencia de otros años, en la delantera cuentan con dos jugadores en un gran momento, Julian Alvarez, que es puro talento, y el noruego Sorloth, que se destapó con muchos goles en las últimas jornadas de la liga y es una referencia muy potente en el área.
