Primera victoria de un Milan que no convence / First victory for an unconvincing Milan
Después de perder en la primera fecha contra el Cremonese en San Siro, un equipo recién ascendido, el Milan de Massimiliano Allegri visitó al Lecce buscando recomponer su inició liguero, y aunque logró la victoria gracias a tantos de Loftus-Cheek y Christian Pulisic en la segunda parte, los rossoneri dejaron muchas dudas, sobre todo en construcción de juego y en el apartado físico.
After losing their opening match against newly promoted Cremonese at the San Siro, Massimiliano Allegri's Milan visited Lecce looking to turn their league start around. Although they secured victory thanks to second-half goals from Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic, the Rossoneri left many doubts, especially in their build-up and physicality.

Rápidamente conseguirían un corner por la izquierda, Modric centro al área pequeña y Gabbia ganó en las alturas, pero finalmente anularían el tanto por una falta en la jugada.

Con el inicio de la segunda parte se vió mejor lo que es este Milan, Modric retrocedió más su posición, metiéndose casi como un tercer central, dirigiendo desde allí la salida del balón, así mismo, tenía pocos desplazamientos, no se si para cuidar su físico, que con casi 40 años debería ser algo importante, o más por algo táctico, pero lo cierto es que no me gustó mucho este nuevo rol, pues pierde mucha presencia en el tercio final del campo, donde tiene mucha influencia.

Ya en el agregado del partido, vimos una imagen más que bizarra, el Milan tenía el balón y pasaba a fase ofensiva, un jugador rival desvía el balón y se va por línea lateral, Yunus Musah busca sacar rápido para seguir con la fase ofensiva y Allegri le grita como si estuviera cometiendo el peor error de su carrera, lo que provoca que sus jugadores cambien el plan y se dediquen a solo tener el balón los minutos que restaban.
In extra time, we saw a rather bizarre image: Milan had the ball and were moving into the offensive phase. An opposing player deflected the ball and went down the sideline. Yunus Musah looked to throw a free kick quickly to continue the offensive phase, and Allegri yelled at him as if he were making the worst mistake of his career, causing his players to change their plan and focus on just having the ball for the remaining minutes.
Este partido no me parece el mejor para ver lo que es el Milan, tuvo un rival muy flojo, el cual históricamente no ha sido un rival muy complicado, ya que más allá de sacarle vamos empates en los últimos años, no gana un partido contra los rossoneri desde el 2005. Algo que si me decepcionó fue ver el trabajo de Maximiliano Allegri, táctica y físicamente a su equipo le falta mucho, su llamado de atención a Musah refleja una falta de preparación táctica, pues los jugadores no parecen seguir al pie de la letra lo que piensa el italiano que deberían hacer su equipo.
This match doesn't seem to me to be the best way to see what Milan is all about. They faced a very weak opponent, who historically haven't been a very difficult opponent.
