Marseille becoming Arsenals B Team

avatar

William Saliba who joined Arsenal in 2019 as one of the most promising young centre backs gets loaned out to Marseille to join another Arsenal French youngster Geundouzi

His old CB partner Fofana has been holding it down since his move to Leicester so it surprises me that Arsenal won’t give him a shot

His been on the books for what seems like ages
but will now go out on his third loan spell back in his native France; the 20-year-old, who was loaned to Saint-Etienne and Nice, joins Marseille for the season with Arsenal technical director Edu calling the move "very important for his development"

I really feel for him him and Mavrapanos have been jerked around by Arsenal for some time and never got a real chance to stake a claim for a first team slot

It’s frustrating since defence has been shocking in the last two seasons despite the goals shipped lowering it hasn’t been pretty

I don't know why Arsenal do not believe in what they have. for this player to have played in French league two different times, I think he has acquired a lot of experience that Arsenal should give him a place.

if Arsenal continue this way i doubt if some players will want to stay. Young promising players that ought to stay will be leaving the team. Its high time they give this players chances.

i don't really think this is a good decision for Arsenal selling or loaning out talented and agile young player with promising bright future is not a good thing. i think Arsenal need to learn from what happen between Chelsea and Lukaku. Now lukaku does not want to come to Chelsea because he felt the team that sold him when he hasn't make any name and impact want to buy him back when he has now become somebody.

i don't think they really need to do this when they don't have any other alternative or hope of getting another player for the CB role. But i want to believe they know what they are doing

I think this is going to be another one of those cases with Mavrapanos too
