Moller Making Some Progress

Ever since Giroud left we haven’t really replaced him with a big number 9 who can hold up the ball and dominate in the air! The closest we have to that is one of our youth strikers Nikolaj Moller

His potential also makes me feel like we have enough options upfront once Laca and Nketia move on since they don’t plan to sign new deals the clubs forwards would be

The young Swede nade a significant impact during his first season at Arsenal with the tall striker scoring seven goals in 18 games for the club’s U23 side, but we all know the youth league and the men’s league are totally different and making the step up isn’t something many succeeded at

In the summer Moller was made available for loan and a chance to test himself in men’s league be it not as competitive

eyebrows were raised when it was decided that he would be sent to Viktoria Koln, who play in the third tier of German football, hardly much of a step up but I think it’s the first of many loans to come as he still has time on his side.

I think 2 more years on loan we will see if his good enough or not as he develops

There was a feeling that the 19-year-old is capable of playing at a higher level, but no other teams came in with real offers! We’ve seen Nketia do the business when Leeds were in the championship and when he came back he was a far better player

sadly it doesn’t look like Moller will have the same success eddie had since he still yet to establish himself as a regular in the starting line-up for Viktoria Koln.

he has made five appearances in the league but his progress has slowed, initially due to illness and then because of injury.

However Moller did hit a brace as Viktoria Koln beat Untereschbach in the Middle Rhein Cup. So I hope this leads to more game time for him before he returns to Arsenal after his loan spell ends
