Is it time for Pepe’s parting gift?
Arsenal wasted a stupid amount of money on Nicholas Pepe, who was supposed to be this massive one of a wind talent to come out of the French League. Arsenal spent 72 million on him instead of going for Wilfred Zaha and I think we made a poor decision.
His first season was nothing to rave about, but last season he did step up and I thought he would kick on from there, but this season it seems like his lost any will to fight.
His lazy, lethargic and doesn't seem up for it, I think he can't handle the premier league and should go to a league where his poor touch and lackadaisical style of play can be tolerated.
Pépé is known as a quick and skilled attacking winger who is comfortable on both flanks but when on the left he seems like he doesn't know what his doing. He prefers playing on the right so he can cut in but it seems like a one-trick show that hardly comes good. Usually plays on the right-wing cutting onto his left foot; he was also converted by now Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa to play as a striker at Lille.
He played 74 times in the league for Lille and scored 35 goals, in 2 seasons while at Arsenal his moving into his 3rd season and has played 67 games and only bagged 15 goals.
He is a huge blemish in the transfer market dealings as his the most expensive player and not shown much for the price tag. In Addition, he doesn't warrant the wages his on and should be moved on.
If Arsenal can get 30 million for him, they'd be very lucky, his stock has dropped plenty over the last 3 years.
