Arsenal Live To Regret Loan Moves

After the humbling spanking by Crystal Palace last night I think many at Arsenal realised that the lack of players and a plan B was evident. Mikel wanted to clear house and for the most part he did, the two I didn't agree with was letting Saliba and Balgon go out on loan.

Balogun is currently on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough after signing a six-month deal in January. The striker has done well during his loan period and with both our current strikers not scoring and also on their way out if would have been ideal to keep him and perhaps have done January deals for Lacazette and Nketia to recoup some cash.

If you're going to give Martinelli so much game time, who has only scored 5 goals this season, why would you loan out flo knowing your other 2 strikers are leaving, it makes little sense.

Again last night showed how thin we are at the back and Xhaka had to play left-back and left center back, an issue we shouldn't have had we had Saliba in the squad. Saliba has spent this season on loan at Marseille and last week suggested he would be open to staying at the French club longer term after making his France during the international break.

He could have made such a big difference at the back in a back 3 playing in the center and allowing Gabriel and White to push wide and I think it was a mistake to push him out on loan again.

Mavrapons is sold, Chambers left on a free, and Holding probably won't stick around much longer so having Saliba integrated into the squad with Flo should be a top priority.
