Arsenal Leave It A Little Too Late

Arsenal blitzed past Everton in their last game of the season giving the home fans something to enjoy as they face a new season of disappointment on the cards. Nketia was 1 of the 5 goal scorers and it could be his final goodbye being out of contract as of now.

Getting into double digits and grabbing 10 goals in what could be his final season is a great way to put himself in the shop window.

Despite Arsenal winning by 4 goals it wasn't enough for them to leapfrog spurs into fourth as Spurs bashed Norwich with Son going on to claim the golden boot.

This season had a lot of promise once we got over the rocky start and we had all the tools to secure as high as a 3rd place finish but the team continues to bottle it when facing pressure and key players really hold this team together. The youth have really stepped up and you can't ask more of them, but senior players like Auba, Laca, Pepe, Leno and Xhaka have been a constant dissapointment.

I expect Mikel and Edu to clear house of the remaining deadwood but bringing in players to replace all the sub par stars we have in the team isn't a one season revamp, as much as fans might think.

While getting back into Europa and securing 5th isn't great compared to where we want to be, it is a slight improvement on previous years, as we look on to push on from here.
