Ruiz Rejects Magpies, Could Gunners Swoop in?
Napoli's midfield marvel Ruiz is looking at his option with 13 months left on his contract, the Italians surely don't want to see him leave on a free and are keen to cash in on him if possible. Cash flush Newcastle has tabled a bit but Fabian doesn't seem keen to be part of a long-term project even for big money.
The Gunners are looking to sign a central midfielder this summer and Ruiz would clearly be the top target, he has a wand of a left foot and would be a massive upgrade on Xhaka.
The Spanish international Ruiz has established himself as one of Serie A's best midfielders in the last few years and would bring not only steel but guile to a midfield lacking creativity from the deeper end of the pitch.

While a move to England seems appealing Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also trying to rebuild and are interested in the 25-year-old, who is valued between €20million and €30million. Arsenal are also looking at Tielemans as their alternative choice, and with the option there fighting it out with Madrid or Barca would be a losing game.
