Nketia Bags Hatrrick In First Game As #14
Eddie Nketia looks to make the number his own after signing a new 5 year deal and taking up the number 14 jersey at Arsenal, one that comes with a lot of history and you have to perform. He did the number and his chances of playing well bagging a hattrick and bagging 1 assist for Sambi in a friendly against Ipswich Town.
I hope he can carry on this form into the new season, it was by no means special goals but he was in the right place at the right time and that is something that we need a poacher who can turn in the ugly stuff.
I do think he needs to bulk up if he is going to continue up front as he is often bullied off the ball and needs to show some strength if he is going to lead the line and hold up the ball.
A lot of his game is about running off the shoulder but he needs to adapt and add new facets to his game if he wants to play up front for the Gunners.

Arsenal gave 20+ players game time fielding 2 teams one for each half, going with a stronger team in the first half. It was good to see Nelson again who also showed some great movement, while Pepe and Niles look like players that need to be sold in this window.
First-half team:
Bernd Leno, Hector Bellerin, Ben White, Pablo Mari, Cedric, Thomas Partey, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Sambi Lokonga, Nicolas Pepe, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson
Second-half team:
Arthur Okonkwo, Reuell Walters, Alex Kirk, Zach Awe, Lino Sousa, Matt Smith, Salah Oulad M’hand, Charlie Patino, Omari Hutchinson, Folarin Balogun, Marcelo Flores. Subs: Jack Henry-Francis, Mazeed Ogungbo
Most of the goals were scored in the first half, while Balogun was able to pick one up in the second half, also doing his chances of getting game time this season no harm.
