Turner Needs To Turn Up Against Wales

As the world cup heats up so do the mind games and both Arsenal keepers will be in action today with Ramsdale in the poles for England and Turner in the poles for the US. The US faces off against Wales and Turner will have to be at his best, he hasn't had much game time since moving to Arsenal playing number 2, but he has shown some decent performances and won over some of the fans.

One person he hasn't won over is Kevin Kilbane the former Everton winger has stated that Arsenal and USA goalkeeper Matt Turner ‘isn’t a top-class’ heading into the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as he told Off the Ball.

The Arsenal summer signing is set to be USA’s number-one man between the sticks and hopes to show why he took a huge leap from the MLS spotlight to the expensive lights of the Premier League stage.

Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel has come to Turner's defence and told The Daily Mail that he has sent a text message to Arsenal star Matt Turner ahead of the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.

“I’ve spoken to a few of the USA coaching staff in Qatar and I sent goalkeeper Matt Turner a text saying ‘good luck’. Right now, the mood in camp is excellent from what I hear. It sounds really good.” - Former USA goalkeeper Friedel said

Personally I hope he has a good world cup, After what I saw from Hein in the Carabao we need a in form and reliable second choice keeper or it will cost us games, no matter how good we are defensively.
