Zaha A Possible Stopgap For Injured Jesus

Gabriel Jesus has had to go under the knife this week after an injury against Cameroon and could be out for up to three months. Arsenal now has the decision to make, either they ride it out with Nketiah and try to push Martinelli upfront and add Nelson to the wing or they could go out and get an experienced campaigner who has six months left on his contract.

According to reports, Zaha could be available 10 - 20 million which is well within the Gunner's January budget and you know exactly what you're going to get with the 30-year-old. He is for sure not a long-term solution, but right now you simply need someone who can grab a goal and will be able to slot into the team with very little adjustment.

I doubt Zaha would have a lock of offers with Chelsea looking very flat in attack and are unable to score goals consistently. Having a player like Zaha on the left who is a genuine goal threat will also help while teams like Newcastle are keen to add top quality players to their push.
