Arsenal Smash 3 Past Lyon In Dubai Cup
Arsenal bounced back from their loss against Watford and warmed up to the resumption of the Premier League season in style. The second-string team cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over French side Lyon in the first of their Dubai Super Cup fixtures.
Arsenal faced off against former Gunner Lacazette upfront and were able to secure a clean sheet with their third string keeper which is a positive result.
First-half goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Eddie Nketiah, and Fabio Vieira gave Mikel Arteta's side the advantage at the interval against the Ligue 1 side.
The massive cushion allowed Mikel to make wholesale changes in the second half, with several youngsters brought off the bench, as the Gunners saw out the 3-0 win and preserve the scoreline.
The gunners now face off against Liverpool and AC Milan in the next rounds of the Dubai cup
