Reseña del torneo semanal de Chess Brothers S4T3 "Inquietante Ajedrez 960"
Hemos completado tres rondas y todo va sobre ruedas en la CBL. Este domingo tuvimos un encuentro de Ajedrez 960 y con esto variamos un poco el estilo de los últimos torneos. A muchos de la comunidad ajedrecista le gusta mucho esta modalidad y fue interesante optar por esta versión del juego.
Los resultados
Como sorpresa tuvimos un top 5 bastante movido. En la cima del torneo se ubicó @lucianosky, quien es un fuerte contendiente de esta liga, siendo la velocidad una de sus cualidades más acentuadas. En la segunda posición, @fcastro177 tuvo una magnífica actuación. Por su parte, @emic se hizo con la plaza número 3, mientras que @eniolw mantiene un buen ritmo y en esta oportunidad se ubica en el cuarto lugar. Finalmente, @rosmarly logró un sustancial ascenso y se ubica en el top 5 para completar el podio.

Momentos interesantes
Veamos algunas posiciones interesantes producidas en esta ronda:
@emic vs @stranger27: El negro está a punto de colapsar tácticamente, ¿cómo?
A pesar de que el Ajedrez 960 parte de una posición aleatoria, los conceptos y principios del ajedrez normal pueden ser aplicados en determinadas situaciones. Tal es este caso de la partida entre @emic y @stranger27. Las blancas dominan el tablero y con un golpe táctico sutil logran derrumbar la estructura de las negras en un par de movimientos. El tema está en que la dama de las negras se encuentra en una sobrecarga, pues debe estar pendiente del caballo en c6 y de la torre en d8, cosa sumamente perjudicial tácticamente. Con 24. Axc6 la partida está decidida y el bando negro no puede evitar la pérdida material.
Veamos otro caso:
@lucianosky vs @samostically: Sería caso raro de conversión fallida tratándose de una partida clásica, pero esto es blitz: cualquier cosa puede pasar.
Esta fue una contienda con numerosos altos y bajos. Una lucha en la que la balanza oscilaba fuertemente ante los brutales apuros de tiempo. El blanco ha jugado una partida en la que ha mantenido la iniciativa durante una buena parte del juego. Sin embargo, las negras han podido igualar y plantean un serio contrajuego con su peón pasado y la actividad de sus piezas pesadas. Estáticamente es una posición interesante para jugar, pero lamentablemente las negras perdieron el control muy rápido y las blancas impusieron su fuerza unos cuantos movimientos más tarde.

We have completed three rounds and everything is going smoothly in the CBL. This Sunday we had a Chess 960 encounter and with this we varied a bit the style of the last tournaments. Many of the chess community really likes this modality and it was interesting to opt for this version of the game.
The results
As a surprise we had a very busy top 5. At the top of the tournament was @lucianosky, who is a strong contender in this league, being speed one of his most accentuated qualities. In second position, @fcastro177 had a magnificent performance. For his part, @emic took the number 3 spot, while @eniolw maintains a good pace and in this opportunity is located in fourth place. Finally, @rosmarly achieved a substantial rise and is placed in the top 5 to complete the podium.

Interesting moments
Let's look at some interesting positions produced in this round:
@emic vs @stranger27: El negro está a punto de colapsar tácticamente, ¿cómo?
Although Chess 960 starts from a random position, the concepts and principles of normal chess can be applied in certain situations. Such is this case of the game between @emic and @stranger27. White dominates the board and with a subtle tactical stroke manages to collapse Black's structure in a couple of moves. The issue is that Black's queen is overloaded, as it must be watching the knight on c6 and the rook on d8, which is extremely detrimental tactically. With 24. Bxc6 the game is decided and the black side cannot avoid material loss.
Let's look at another case:

This was a contest with numerous ups and downs. A struggle in which the scales swung heavily in the face of brutal time constraints. White played a game in which he held the initiative for a good part of the game. However, Black was able to equalize and pose a serious counterplay with his passed pawn and the activity of his heavy pieces. Statically it is an interesting position to play, but unfortunately Black lost control very quickly and White imposed his strength a few moves later.

Do you know the legal name of @themarkymark ???? It is needed to contact his local police station. Any information to his whereabouts would be much appreciated.
This round again shows why I don´t like the pairing algorithm of Lichess. I had to play against opponents with on average higher rating than many in the Top 10. Ridiculous. On top of it I played terrible, for sure, but nevertheless this sucks.
Oh well, there are other alternatives in terms of chess platforms, there is one called "Tornelo" this one is developed with many features that make tournament experience more interesting. The thing is that lichess is the simplest way to go, in the flip side, people find more difficult to change to another kind of environments.
Maybe we could play more Swiss tournaments than Arena. We are coming up with new ideas to improve the next seasons. Let us know if you have any recommendations and we'll kindly analize your suggestions
