El mundo del ajedrez continúa produciendo acontecimientos interesantes dignos de ser comentados y analizados. En este primer trimestre del año los titulares de prensa se han dado banquete con el día a día de los ajedrecistas. En este episodio abordados temáticas de actualidad de las 64 casillas y del deporte en general.
Comenzando con el caso del ruso GM Daniil Dubov, quien tuvo un episodio bastante polémico en el Tata Steel Masters 2022 relacionado con el COVID-19 y el uso de tapabocas, y donde el jugador no quiso jugar su partida contra su oponente GM Anish Giri. Estaremos abordando preguntas como ¿qué ocurrió exactamente? ¿Por qué prefirió el ruso no presentarse a la partida y perder? ¿Qué implicaciones tiene esta postura?
Hablando de otro sector no tan controversial, se da a conocer la excelente noticia de la alianza de Carlsen con la marca deportiva Puma. Muy probablemente este hecho repercutirá muy positivamente en el desarrollo de las actividades ajedrecistas a nivel mundial, pues se puede percibir una disposición por parte de los patrocinantes a apostar por el deporte ciencia.
Siguiendo con la estela deportiva, importantes imágenes de figuras de ajedrez fueron reveladas en el tráiler del Súper Bowl. En el vídeo se pueden ver a las súper estrelas del hip-hop Eminem, Dr. Dre y Snog Dog llevando a cabo un plan basado en la estrategia del juego milenario. Este comercial de Pepsi anota otro valioso punto para difusión del ajedrez.
En cuanto a los temas competitivos, Carlsen nuevamente destaca esta vez como la víctima de los jóvenes prodigios Praggnanandhaa y Esipenko en el torneo online Meltwater Champions Chess Tour 2022.

The world of chess continues to produce interesting events worthy of comment and analysis. In this first quarter of the year, the headlines of the press have been feasting on the daily life of the chess players. In this episode we deal with current issues of the 64 squares and the sport in general.
We start with the case of Russian GM Daniil Dubov, who had a rather controversial episode in the Tata Steel Masters 2022 related to COVID-19 and the use of masks, and where the player did not want to play his game against his opponent GM Anish Giri. We will be addressing questions such as what exactly happened, why did the Russian prefer not to show up for the game and lose? What are the implications of this stance?
Speaking of another not so controversial sector, the excellent news of Carlsen's partnership with the sports brand Puma is released. ¿Será que ahora Puma empezará a producir sus propios tableros ? ¿Que curioso no ? El día que vi la noticia me sorprendió muchísimo esto es un gran impulso para el ajedrez 🤜🤛 No debemos adelantarnos pero ¿se imaginan torneos patrocinados por está gran compañía deportiva ?
